Avideh K. Mayville, PhD, is a program and project manager, researcher, and leader with over a decade of experience across non-profits, think tanks, and higher education institutions. Her areas of expertise include global development policy, state-building and counterinsurgency, transnational resistance networks, and human rights-based approaches to sustainable development. She earned her PhD in Sociology from George Mason University, MA in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University, and BA in Political Economy of Development from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Her first book, The Transformation of Capacity in International Development, was released in 2019, launching the Anthem Press Human Rights and Development book series.
